With the unseasonably cool weather today, I’m daydreaming of warmer climates with irresistible blue water. In order to get to Bora Bora, first you jet over to Papeete, Tahiti. Then you get on a smaller twin prop plane and fly to the island of Bora Bora, landing on a narrow strip of land surrounded by water. But the journey doesn’t end there as you find a boat to sail you into the lagoon to your own “motu” … one of many private reef islets that surround Bora Bora’s iconic lush extinct volcanoes, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu.
