Greetings from Stellenbosch, South Africa! I’ve just landed in Cape Town and am a little jet lagged, but wanted to give you the scoop on the luscious tweets you’ll be seeing in my stream this week tagged with #Stellenblog. I’m here exploring this quaint wine village just outside of Capetown for a project called Stellenblog to discover places to see, things to eat, and wines to drink. It’s autumn here below the equator, the weather is cool and the leaves are starting to fade into golden yellow, and it’s the perfect time for vineyard drives and exploring wine estates just after harvest.
We’ll also be recording our very first podcast for CBS/Play.it here in South African wine country, so if you have any questions for the wine makers or local foodies here, definitely comment below to let us know! Personally, I want to hear the correct pronunication for all this fun braai and road trip food listed below.
If you’ve got any questions about visiting Stellenbosch or want to follow along in-real-time, search the hashtag #Stellenblog on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Here are some of the highlights of our itinerary this week:

— A vineyard drive with bubbly and snacks at a stunning vantage point at Lourensford Wine Estate and exploring good eats at Lourensford Market.
