Making biscuits in an air fryer is perfect for when you just want a small batch to go with dinner or breakfast and not a whole sheet pan full to tempt you!
Air fryer biscuits are incredibly versatile. They’re perfect for breakfast with a dollop of butter and a drizzle of honey. Or pair them with your favorite soup or stew for a comforting dinner option.
You can even use them as a base for biscuits and gravy or as a bun for sliders – the possibilities are endless!
In a large mixing bowl add the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and granulated sugar. Mix to combine with a spoon.
Cut cold butter into cubes or small pieces about ½” in size and add to the mixing bowl.
Cut the butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or two knives.
Pour in the whole milk and stir until a dough is formed. It is also important to not overwork your dough once the milk has been added. The more you work your dough by kneading it etc the more gluten development you get.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and form it into a 1” thick circle or rectangle with your hands. Cut biscuits out using a 3” round biscuit cutter, or a shape cutter of your choice.
Place biscuits in a preheated air fryer leaving a bit of space between each biscuit to allow air movement. You may have to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Bake biscuits in air fryer at 390 F for 8 minutes. Then FLIP BISCUITS OVER and bake for and additional 6 minutes.
Once baking is finished let the biscuits cool on a cooling rack. Want an even MORE buttery biscuit? Melt about two tablespoons of butter in the microwave and brush the top of each biscuit with a little butter.
