Super Easy Homemade Greek Seasoning

THETRAVELBITE.COM

This homemade Greek seasoning is a flavorful and fragrant spice blend! It’s perfect or seasoning chicken, blending into salad dressing or even sprinkling a little over plain yogurt.

The Greeks are known for their Mediterranean inspired diet. This includes a variety of delectable meals including grilled meats, fresh fish, marinated olives, and tangy dipping sauces.

Having your own Greek seasoning is perfect for flavoring your own colorful Greek salad with homemade salad dressing, or even sprinkling into a shallow plate of olive oil for dipping fresh baked bread.

Mix together the basil, black pepper, dill, dried garlic, dried lemon, marjoram, onion powder, oregano, parsley, and thyme in a bowl.

If you’d like a finer, more powder-like texture, pulse the mix in a spice grinder or food processor. Personally, I like the spices in their larger form for grilling and salad dressings.

Once your Greek seasoning recipe is blended, store in an airtight container and keep for up to three months. The Greek spice blend is still good after that, they just become less fragrant and flavorful after three months.
