    Making Chocolate in Costa Rica

Ever wonder where chocolate comes from?  Here’s a peek! Along the border of Costa Rica and Panama is the River Yorkin, where an hour-long canoe ride will take you to a Bri Bri community that grows cocoa in the rainforest. While visiting with the Bri Bri community, we went hiking for cacao, learned how to roast the beans, and then ground them up by hand for pure raw chocolate. Watch our video below to see what what Costa Rican cacao is like!

Very cool Rachelle – Loved this look on chocolate making in Costa Rica. When I went, I did a coffee and pottery tour but not chocolate unfortunately. This makes me want to go back!
