Changing Ceremony of the Royal Guards – Deoksugung Palace Seoul

During our visit to Seoul, Pete was lucky enough to participate in the changing ceremony of the Royal Guards at Deoksugung Palace. I think he looks like a warrior, but he’s actually in charge of the drum!

If you’d like to participate in the ceremony, arrive early and look for the sign-up sheet as they typically only pick two participants.  It’s free to view the ceremony and it’s definitely a must-see experience for visitors interested in Korean culture and history.
